This body Gentle she sways, flowing,

Like the coolest breeze along the hot sands raising the grains along her way, restless.

This body relentlessly stirring new strength I never imagined to own.

Wise in ways I am still uncovering

I'm constantly rediscovering

Each day exposed

It's in the way I carry my hips, the way they sway from side to side

Bearing the weight of birthing life, these hips carry the deepest history, these hips don't forget the injuries caused when i was powerless too powerless to stop

Defying all odds these hips brought me home.

From the living room where i birthed my son to the water where they most feel safe, these hips have kept me swimming

Moving through the roughest tides these hips don't ever let me hide

I ride the waves and surf the tides with these hips majestic

I am majesty

With roots deeper than the deepest depths on this earthly plane

This is a body that transcends

Branching out into these new thighs drapped in battle scars.
